Brian Lehrer live from Hofstra

Brian Lehrer, host at WNYC, broadcast his show earlier today from Studio A in Dempster Hall at Hofstra University. Most of the audience was in support of Barack Obama, while only a handful of students were either John McCain followers or undecided voters. Lehrer integrated guests into his show along with comments posted live during the broadcast on WNYC's website.

Remembering Those Who Served and Died

Outside of the CV Starr lecture hall on the Hofstra University campus, an exhibit called Eyes Wide Open shows the boots of New York soldiers who have died in the war in Iraq. Iris Bieri, project coordinator for Eyes Wide Open tells Nassau News about the exhibit.
